Ok it's a bit of a porky to call this section FAQ because we don't get many! But this is a list of what we think are interesting things to know, which might come across your mind whilst perusing our virtual shelves...
- How is the pricing calculated?
- Why don't I see the secure server "padlock" symbol or "https" when I'm ordering?
- Why aren't there any designs with the words "Tottenham Hotspur", "Spurs", "To dare is to do", "THFC", etc?
- Why aren't there any player images on your t-shirts?
We're always adding to this list. If you have a question which isn't answered here, please contact us.

Q. How is the pricing calculated?
The base cost of every garment is determined by our supplier Spreadshirt. For a lot of the more fitted/styled items, the cost is higher than we would like - hence all our t-shirt products use the basic "classic" mens/ladies tee to give the best value to our customers, but without compromise on quality. There is also the "standard" tee for men which only comes in white, and is £2 cheaper than the classic. The cost of each design is then added to this base cost, depending on the commission set by us and Spreadshirt charge £2 for a single colour design, and £3.70 for a two-colour design. If choosing a two-colour design, you can reduce the cost if you set both elements to the same colour. Adding your own text will cost £2 per text area which can contain up to 5 lines of the same colour, and then £1.70 for per additional colour. Uploading your own pixel image will cost either £1 or £2 to print depending on the digital printing method chosen. More information can be found on Spreadshirt's help pages.
Q. Why don't I see the secure server "padlock" symbol or "https" when I'm ordering?
Don't worry! All your details are only ever processed on a secure server, hosted by our supplier Spreadshirt. The shopping basket is contained within an "iframe" embedded inside our website, which is not hosted on a secure server as there is no reason for it to be - hence your browser does not show the page as secure. If you need further reassurance, in the basket there is a link called "SSL secure" which will give you more information and hopefully, peace of mind.
Q. Why aren't there any designs with the words "Tottenham Hotspur", "Spurs", "To dare is to do", "THFC", etc?
We've been very careful not to infringe any of the copyrights, trademarks or intellectual property owned by Tottenham Hotspur PLC, and all of the above are owned by the club (see their ebay policy for clarification). Of course we can't stop you from adding whatever text you like to the t-shirts, hoodies or other apparel (Spreadshirt might do) ... although officially we ask that you observe the club's intellectual property.
Q. Why aren't there any player images on your t-shirts?
Player image rights are a bit more tricky. It's not always clear (to us) who owns them, and we did try to make some designs initially that included vector images that were traced from 3rd party photographs. Spreadshirt is pretty strict on this though, and they decided to pull our designs from sale just to be safe, unless we can prove that we own the copyright or have permission from the rights holder. We tried to argue that our vector designs are technically our own work, and aren't the same as the original photographs and they involved a lot of simplifying/editing. It's something we might look into figuring out in the future...
